As I get deeper into the history of Natural Science Illustration, I learned about Anna Atkins, an English botanist and photographer, who published the first book illustrated with photographic images, which were cyanotypes. I used the same cyanotype process to create these fabric banners, and I plan on doing a lot more with this medium!
